The academic network MultiPlay is currently seeking committee members. MultiPlay takes a multidisciplinary approach to video game studies and has over two hundred members. MultiPlay hosts regular conferences, has an editorial board, a monthly podcast, and hosts a reading group.
MultiPlay’s central committee is responsible for overseeing the growth of the membership, supporting with conference events, and leading the creation of video content. The committee meets once a month to discuss the network’s direction and assign priorities. There is no minimum expectation of work per month as we are a flexible committee that works towards making academic involvement as accessible as possible. We welcome interest from early career researchers and we regularly offer mentoring and support to new members – including on the committee – who may have no experience with arranging conferences or being part of a growing academic network.
